Project Overview:

The mission of the USGS National Wetlands Research Center is to develop and disseminate scientific information needed to understand the ecology and value of our nations wetlands. The USGS is also responsible for managing and restoring wetland habitats and associated plant and animal communities. CTA's work for this organization included design services for a state-of-the-art laboratory building, as well as offices for scientists, grad students and principal investigators. We also designed laboratory spaces for genetics, computer modeling/GIX, fisheries/toxicology, soils, biomass, sediment/core, carbon/biogeochemistry, date analysis, microscopy and microbiology. Our work incorporated use of sustainable design elements and a leading edge storm water management system.
