Project Overview:

The community of Worland, Wyoming passed a bond measure in November of 2010 to finance the construction of a new aquatic center. CTA assisted the community in developing a conceptual design for the building as well as a project budget estimate to be used for bond ballot marketing materials. Since the bond's passing, CTA has been refining the design and completing the construction documents, aiming for a spring of 2011 construction start date.

The Aquatic Center consists of a 6 lane competition pool, dive tank, 2 lane lessons pool, beach entry recreation pool with waterslide, therapy pool, hot tub, and outdoor splash pad. The 28,000 square foot facility also hosts spectator seating, locker rooms, activity room, and various storage and support spaces to assist in the daily operations of the center. The building's design is focused around the aesthetics of the neighboring Worland Middle School and the functional need to keep the buildings maintenance and energy costs within the target building operations budget.
